How it works?

Caring friends provides a wide range of in-home care and other services ranging from 1 hour to 24 hours in your own home or community.

Whether you need in-home specialized care or general assistance, our very experienced and highly trained team continually aim to provide first class service. You are the one who choose support types, services and carers to support you according to your preference. We always match your interests, hobbies and preferred cultural backgrounds to achieve your NDIS plan goals before we arrange any meet and greets, if you happy with our team member we will go forward with your requirements.
Our Care coordinators will visit you every month and will do monthly reports with going through our feedback forms. Every NDIS participant gets a care coordinator to look after your support services, you can contact your care coordinator regarding any matter related to your supports. We make progress notes, Goal Plans and reports to improve your independence and supports.

01. What is NDIS?
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a new way of supporting eligible Australians living with a permanent or significant disability. The NDIS gives eligible participants an invaluable opportunity to build their independence for everyday tasks, purchase consumable products such as continence, nutrition and wound care products, and provide access to in-home care services or re-join the workforce. You will initially get a custom plan based on your needs or the needs of someone you provide care for. NDIS plan will be used to help identify and achieve your goals, whether they be finding and managing a job, joining a social or recreational group, or arranging and paying for products, personal care to assist in everyday life or social and community participation.

03. How can I apply a NDIS plan?
You can contact your LAC or NDIS directly to get more information to obtain a NDIS plan for yourself or your family member. Firstly, you will need to complete an Access Request Form which include information about your disability and how it impacts on your day-to-day life. You may need to ask your health professional to fill out and sign certain parts of the form.
04. What funding do I need to use Caring Friends?
You can use your NDIS funding or pay privately for your expected supports from Caring Friends.
